Kaleem Hussain

Kaleem is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Guidance Consultancy. He is a multi-disciplinary change and transformation consultant with more than 20 years’ experience delivering regulatory change, risk, compliance and performance improvement programmes for public and private sector organisations in the UK and internationally.

He supports boards and senior leaders with strategic advice, analysis and delivery across change management, organisational transformation, financial crime, compliance, risk, legal and regulatory matters, and wider financial services.

Kaleem is a strong advocate for the ESG agenda and improved climate governance, and contributes to sustainability forums in the UK. He is a Fellow of Better Climate Governance.

He is also an author and peace advocate, with research interests in conflict transformation, reconciliation and community cohesion, aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (2030 Agenda).

Kaleem is a RANE Network Affiliate Expert, providing risk intelligence and analysis to support organisational resilience and business continuity. He is experienced in delivering insights on international, economic and geopolitical developments.

He is an alumnus of the Global Diplomatic Forum and the Euphrates Institute Peace Practice Alliance, accredited by the Centre for Executive Education at the University for Peace (established by the UN General Assembly).

Kaleem is a Fellow, Community Leader (Central Region) of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA) and an Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (AFRHistS). He holds Chartered Manager (CMgr) status (Chartered Management Institute, 2025) and is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI). He is an Honorary Fellow of the Edward Cadbury Centre for the Public Understanding of Religion, and the Foundation for Science, Technology and Civilisation (FSTC), a UK FORB Stakeholder and previously served on the Executive Committee of Warwick Business School’s West Midlands Alumni Network (WMAN).

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kaleem founded and curated the flagship United in Hope – United for Humanity (UHUH) initiative, bringing together public, private and third sector partners to share practical ideas and community-focused responses during a period of crisis.

Kaleem is committed to volunteering, mentoring and community service, and has supported multiple organisations over more than a decade, including during and beyond the pandemic. He has worked with charitable, multi-faith and community organisations to support peaceful and cohesive communities. He received the Ambassador for Peace Award from the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) in 2024 for his peace advocacy work, and was awarded the Sign of Peace-Honorary Diploma (Chair of Peace-Assisi, Rome) in 2026.

 

He serves as a trustee of a local charity bringing people together through entertainment, arts and culture. He has also supported youth mentoring initiatives, including the One Million Mentors programme and Mosaic (founded by HM King Charles III).

He holds an LLB (Hons) in Law, an LLM in International Economic Law (University of Warwick), PDLGM in Leadership and General Management (Warwick Business School), and the Level 4 DipFA (Diploma for Financial Advisers) from The London Institute of Banking & Finance.
